We are seeking a Senior Manager for our growing Assurance and Accounting - Real Estate and Construction team. Building a stronger foundation for real estate and construction companies, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm for the real estate and construction sector. Our specialists are actively involved with boards, committees and government organizations to stay on top of changing industry forces and emerging trends. We provide clients with insight and solutions related to the preeminent challenges real estate and construction businesses face, as well as guidance to help our clients make informed decisions that will put their company ahead of the competition. **This position has a strong potential for a fast track to partnership for the right individual.Performance ExpectationsDemonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the Private Enterprise industry through interactions with clients, key business leaders in the community and fellow colleaguesPrepare professional correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining findings, facts and highlights resulting from the client engagementExecute transactions through the provision of client services including planning, budgeting, scheduling and coordinating engagements Review, investigate and correct discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries and reports Collaborate with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas, materiality and deadlinesDevelop ability to ensure clients and targets have the information they need to make decisions Develop ability to provide alternatives to client or target and effectively explain how each alternative can address their needs and how the engagement will be affectedContribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes Attend internal MNP courses to further develop accounting and assurance knowledgeProactively seek and/or volunteer for additional assignments, responsibilities, etc.Contribute ideas and solutions to assist with the development and/or implementation of changeRecognize different personality and communication styles and adjust approach accordinglyConvey messages in a clear and concise manner to small and/or medium audiencesDevelop ability to manage questions within a presentation to help audience clearly understand perspectiveManage team compliance with MNP values and code of conduct including confidentiality, integrity, honesty and ethical behaviorAccept accountability for overall engagement completions and ensure all deadlines are communicated and metMaintain high quality control by reviewing work done from other team members for accuracy and completeness;
