Our Montreal office is looking for a Senior Manager, Transaction Services to join our Financial Advisory Services team and own the following responsibilities:

+ Lead financial due diligence engagements and provide M&A transaction support to our clients including private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers

+ Analyze financial/operational results of targets including historical trading, quality of earnings, cash flow, working capital, net debt, capital expenditure, forecasts and underlying assumptions

+ Lead financial discussions with target companies, their management and advisors

+ Report potential key issues for our clients including identification of risk or price factors impacting investment or divestiture decisions

+ Review sale and purchase agreements and financial model to reflect findings of the due diligence process

+ Prepare/evaluate pro forma financial information; identify issues for purchase price reductions, deal structuring or deal termination

+ Identify post-acquisition action steps to achieve anticipated earnings/cash flow improvements and evaluate effects of seasonality on cash flow requirements; perform industry and company research

+ Generate new business opportunities within the Transaction Support practice and BDO in general, developing long-term relationships and networks

+ Be entrepreneurial in nature to drive growth and practice management in our growing team

+ Develop and train junior level project team members and group staff

+ You will understand the industries BDO services and contribute to the group's advancement.

+ You will ensure work is complete, accurate and appropriately reviewed by maintaining the necessary technical knowledge and professional development.

+ You will contribute to the development of the group infrastructure

+ You will give timely, relevant and actionable feedback to the team.

+ You will recommend and implement quality or efficiency improvements to our engagements.

+ You will actively engage in communication with people leaders to ensure understanding of performance and development, while identifying and attracting top talent.

+ You will support our firm's revenue growth by referring clients to other services lines and new clients to BDO.

Your experience and education

+ Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting and/or related major with a CA or CPA certification. CFA or CBV is an asset.

+ Minimum of 5-7 years of public accounting experience, with minimum 5 years of financial due diligence experience

+ Financial statement interpretation and analysis, including an understanding of the application of and compliance with GAAP

+ Corporate Development, financial modelling and analytics experience a big asset

+ Professional report writing and presentation skills Motivated, detail-oriented, autonomous, rigorous and able to work under pressure

+ Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas.

+ The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel, when necessary.

+ Motivated to be market facing and driving relationships that lead to future work.
