So what are you waiting for … come learn more and see if you have what it takes to join our team Duties & Responsibilities: Interim Financial statement preparation for several departments Update and enter journal entries for full-cycle accounting Review financial statements and provide variance explanations and follow up with multiple departmental authorities Oversight of company marketing fund and review with Marketing department leads Review divisional and departmental budgets and analysis with concept and department heads Periodic analysis and quarterly lead sheets for certain B/S and I/S accounts including account reconciliation and review Prepare periodic consolidation entries for financial statements Maintain GL/Chart of accounts and B/S, I/S in Great Plains/TM1/Management Reporter Coach Senior and Junior Accountants and review complex accounting issues in conjunction with IFRS Maintain records for all related party transactions including quarterly analysis for external reporting Liaison with external tax consultants and regulatory bodies (CRA and Statistics Canada) on ongoing issues related to sales and income tax or other required reporting Assist with year-end audits for public reporting entities: Royalty Income Fund and SIR Corp Assisting with the preparation of quarterly management discussion & analysis and financial statements Assist Director of Finance & Accounting with identifying and implementing systems based process improvements to better leverage existing platforms Manage implementation projects for new accounting and finance systems, upgrades and conversions Assist in implementation and roll-out of new processes to operations and finance Requirements: CPA designation or equivalent 5 years’ experience in an senior accountant/accounting management role Public financial statement preparation experience is a must MD&A preparation experience is a must Possess five values that define our people: Hospitality.
