SUMMARY OF JOB AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Production Manager, the incumbent will oversee a full production team of around twenty unionized employees. He must respect the production schedule and implement all possible actions to achieve the quality, efficiency and cost objectives of the product in a safe environment. The incumbent will work a 12 hour weekend schedule. In collaboration with other departments revolving around production activities, such as: Quality Control, Warehouse Sanitation, Maintenance, R & D and Human Resources, he will have to manage various files. More specifically, he will have to: - Plan, coordinate, direct and control all activities of his work shift - Respect the procedures of the SQF quality system in place - Apply GMP (GMP) - Meet the deadlines of the production schedule - Control the performance of the production line (compliance with established parameters) - Control and reduce production losses (monitoring the weight of products and losses related to the manufacturing process - Plan the use of labor and equipment - Plan staff training needs and assess them in accordance with the established procedure - Manage absenteeism - Manage the discipline - Manage the collective agreement - Comply with the directives and controls in occupational health and safety - Carry out accident investigations and produce the report - Apply factory, hygiene and occupational health and safety regulations - Inform the Maintenance group of mechanical emergencies and develop an intervention plan - Collaborate in the execution of the work of the Maintenance department - Participate / collaborate in the continuous improvement project - Manage documentation (quality and production) - Maintain a safe work environment - Meeting the standards of cleanliness and salubrity of the food industry - Maintain a work climate conducive to good working relations through effective communication - Make the pay of his group SKILLS SOUGHT - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a supervisor in the food industry - College diploma (D.E.C.) in food processing or the agri-food sector - Good computer skills (Microsoft tools) - Mastery of basic and advanced concepts of operational safety in the food industry - Good analytical and problem-solving skills - Ease of communication in a multi-cultural environment - Leadership, good judgment, dynamism, resourcefulness, autonomy - Bilingual (French / English) - Flexibility in his work schedule
