Job Summary: S&C Electric Canada Ltd. is seeking a technical professional with extensive experience in supplier quality management. This individual will work with Engineering, Global Sourcing, and Supply Chain & Logistics to improve overall quality levels and supplier performance. What You Will Do: Perform supplier audits as part of a cross-functional team that may include Engineering (Product, R&D), Global Sourcing, Procurement, and Production Operation. Utilize Core Tools, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Methodologies for new products, revisions, supplier changes as well as develop current key suppliers, product lines and manage project schedules of these activities. Work with Suppliers to improve quality performance, implement process controls, reduce costs of poor quality and other quality-related metrics. Act as liaison with suppliers (external/internal) and Internal Operation to problem solve supplier related issues Project manage simultaneous supplier quality-related activities/issues, analyze trends, and provide input to management related to suppliers. Work independently with the ability to interpret expectations and act with some guidance and supervision. Frequent travel within Canada and internationally sometimes on short notice. Qualifications : University Degree (preferably BSc or Engineering) and/or formal training in QA and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience 3-5 years’ experience in supplier quality or product/process approval. Knowledge and experience in the use of QC Tools, Quality Assurance Principles/Methodologies and its application Working knowledge and experience with Quality Management, Core Tools, Continuous Improvement from Lean and Six Sigma. Proficient in reading/interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings as well as the use of mechanical/electrical tools and equipment. Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to coach others and communicate across all level of the organization Excellent skills in data analysis and data management using Microsoft applications. Oracle and SalesForce knowledge a definite advantage Strong collaboration, influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
