Job Description Key Responsibilities Scope, plan and manage the quality assurance and testing activities for embedded Infotainment software Manage and refine software quality assurance process capable of supporting multiple domains and multiple locations with both internal and external resources Anticipate technical, schedule and cost risks then implement mitigation actions to minimize impact Lead the team to implement test automation for efficiency Hire, mentor, develop, and retain a competent and engaged software quality assurance engineering staff to meet personal, professional, and corporate objectives Work with domain EGMs to develop employee tailored work assignments that are challenging and result in on-time completion of team deliverables Collaborate and direct third party software testing work to align with overall project objectives and timing Foster and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment to motivate staff while driving process improvement and innovative solutions Identifying and removing obstacles that prevent staff from accomplishing goals. Ensuring team has proper equipment, tools, training, and resources to accomplish assigned tasks within defined processes and procedures, while adhering to appropriate budgets Understanding department capacity and capabilities, develop metrics and reporting mechanisms to manage organizational performance Identify longer-term staffing/technical skill needs and work collaboratively with leadership to plan staffing levels in line with needs Ensure domain teams’ capability to overcome technical challenges and create and nurturing long term plan and opportunities for team members grow up on each technical domains Qualifications Required: Minimum of 10 years of experience in an automotive, or consumer electronics, embedded product development organization 5 years of experience leading quality assurance or testing of complex, real time, embedded software in an object-oriented environment, including people leadership responsibilities 5 years development or testing experience on Android platform or other embedded system Significant experience in all aspects of the development life cycle, process and tools Experience with C++, C, Java, Python, Android, embedded Linux Experience in Connectivity , Android Auto, Car-play or Navigation domains Operating systems experience with one or more of the following: Linux, Android, QNX Domain Knowledge Solid working knowledge of in-vehicle infotainment system Solid working knowledge of Android application and framework Education and Training Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering. Advanced degree in engineering, business or management/leadership preferred.
