Job Description

No other bank is doing what we do.

At BDC, we help Canada and its entrepreneurs create a prosperous, inclusive and green economy. Our mission is to help Canadian businesses thrive by providing financing, capital and advisory services. We’re devoted to Canadian entrepreneurs. We’re also dedicated to our employees. Adaptable. Inspiring. Different. There’s a reason we like to work here, and we think you’ll like it too. Join BDC and help make a difference!

Diversity. Equity. Inclusion. They’re more than just words for BDC. These concepts are foundational to our success and to our ability to attract, retain, mobilize and develop the right talent, as well as to offer a healthy, professional and collaborative environment. We are committed to cultivating and preserving an environment where all employees can thrive, and, for over a decade, we have been recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers and one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers. In recruiting for our team, we welcome the unique contributions that you can bring in terms of your education, opinions, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, veteran’s status, color, religion, disability, sexual orientation, beliefs, experiences, and more.

We are looking for a Co-Op student in Advisory Services with an interest in the various managerial functions of companies, namely: HR, Finance, Strategy, and Sales & Marketing, within the province of Quebec.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Provide support to “content leads” by collaborating on the content development of advisory services solutions and by researching and communicating best practices to adopt.

  • Assist in ensuring that all advisory services’ offerings are properly designed and regularly reviewed by the person responsible for the solution development and audit process for Advisory Services.

  • Update and research appropriate structures for collaborative monitoring tools, to support the content development process.

  • Update and research best practices for tools, templates, and other relevant elements that could be leveraged across Advisory Services.

  • Any other related tasks, in support of internal clients.

WHY BDC?

  • Because you will learn from exceptional professionals and gain valuable experience in a workplace that fosters innovation.

  • Because a student job at BDC could be the beginning of a successful career: indeed, many of the hired students across Canada find a job at the Bank.

  • Because your ideas and perspectives will help BDC focus its efforts to better support Canadian entrepreneurs.

WORKPLACE: In this exceptional context of the COVID-19 pandemic, employment will be offered in remote work or in hybrid remote/office work, according to current government directives. The position can be done 100% remote from anywhere in Quebec. This includes the ability to work remotely and modern workspaces to work from when you are in our offices. The position can be located in rural communities, on reserve, in institutions and/or within your community.
