The Manager of Product Transfer is responsible for leading a staff of scientists and associates as members of cross-functional teams for the implementation of changes and improvements to on-market products and manufacturing processes.
This position is part of the Manufacturing & Operations department and will be located in Lodi, CA. At Cepheid, our vision is to ensure that every patient has access to the right diagnostic test at the right time.
*In this role, you will have the opportunity to:*

* Supervise and lead direct reports in prioritization and execution of day-to-day activities as well as providing annual evaluation of direct reports.
* Facilitate communication and cooperation between cross-functional groups and departments
* Utilize project management tools to drive project on-time delivery
* As appropriate, serve as a technical liaison for other departments with regard to assay changes and improvements including, but not limited to, bill of materials, reference material, reagent formulation and product or consumable testing.
* Lead, coordinate or participate operations related activities required for the maintenance of on market assays and addressing emerging business need:
* Production scale-up
* Process development/optimization
*The essential requirements of the job include:*

* MS Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Bio-Engineering, Bio-chemistry required
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or within manufacturing operations under cGMP, ISO and FDA regulations.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with short deadlines
* Ability to communicate technical issues both verbally and in written form
* Knowledge of Program Management Knowledge of statistical analysis tools
* Proficiency in Molecular Biology techniques
*It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:*

* PhD in Biology, Chemistry, Bio-Engineering, Bio-chemistry
