We are offering a position of a Full-time Senior Automotive Service Technician to join our growing Service Department. In this role you will provide accurate and timely repairs to client and internal vehicles, advise staff and clientele on vehicle repairs, maintenance, and upkeep, as well as maintain a high standard of quality in all shop related workmanship and maintenance. This is an opportunity to work in a family-owned dealer network that is synonymous with success in the Burnaby community. Key Responsibilities Provide timely and accurate technical advisement of vehicle repairs and maintenance Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections to client and internal vehicles in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner according to standardized and manufacturer guidelines Diagnosing of client vehicle concerns and documenting of oncerns and repairs made Inspect client and internal vehicles for both safety and operation and advising of necessary repairs Provide guidance and training to assigned apprentices Maintain a high level of cleanliness and proficiency in work carried out throughout the shop, as well as the cleanliness and maintenance of shop and shop tools Translating customers’ repair problems into standard repair terminology while educating customers on maintenance and repair needs Requirements Qualifications and Experience Customer service oriented with a passion to build relationships with customers Detail-oriented in all aspects of client and repair process Automotive Red Seal / Trade Certification Master Level Certification required (PHEV / BED certification preferred) 3 Years of Automotive Technician experience required (Volvo preferred) 3 years Dealership Service experience a must (Volvo preferred) Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills Ability to translate standard repair and maintenance terminology to advise customers Possess standardized set of automotive repair tools Self sufficient and can work both in a team and independently Benefits WE OFFER Strong compensation plan Competitive health plan Ongoing training and development support Opportunities for career advancement Diverse and inclusive culture
