Through strong partnership with BlackBerry’s existing Cylance, Enterprise, and QNX business units, we identify, explore and build new concepts that help fill the innovation funnel for BlackBerry./

/ We are looking for SW Developer candidate. Successful candidates will work towards the common goal of identifying, exploring and creating new technologies to ensure BlackBerry is on the cutting edge of security innovation/. Our team specifically works on projects related to QNX OS.

Location: Ottawa, ON
Length of Term: 4 Months


The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

* Actively participate in all aspects of the development process.

* Design, implement, test & profile BlackBerry security concepts.

* Consult with your mentor on software architecture.

* Strong skills in innovative thinking, initiative and communication will be required and used regularly.

* Opportunities to participate in proof of concept projects, either hands-on or consulting with the developer primes.


* Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering program.

* Strong design and programming skills on an embedded platform.

* Strong knowledge, development skills and experience in C++.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Innovative thinker with a keen interest for developing new technologies and concepts

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with excellent time management skills.


* Knowledge of Object Oriented design principles and Design Patterns

* Knowledge of Machine Learning

* Experience with QNX OS

* Knowledge of web based technologies such as AWS, REST API etc
